Popular Nigerian Artiste Oritse Femi real name Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele was born on January 5, 1985. He was born in Ajegunle area of Lagos state but hails from itsekiri in Warri, Delta state. He was a member of the group called the Junglist boys comprising of Oritse Femi and Chi-Junglist. The group broke up in 2006 after a disagreement between the two and they both went their separate paths.
As a solo act, he released an album ‘Elewon’ and the hit single ‘flog politicians’ which was inspired by the level of corruption in the country at the time. He released a second solo album which he titled “wicked world” which contained the hit track “mercy of the lord”. According to him, he was inspired by his earlier love for material things and how his mum helped him to seek the face of God.
